Why is it known as a “tubular battery”?
Along its length, the battery’s structure resembles a series of tubes placed one on top of the other. So the name “tubular” was born. These tubular batteries are utilized generally in solar power equipment, backup power systems for homes, and electric vehicle propulsion.
What are the benefits of tubular batteries :–
1. For prolonged power backup requirements, a tubular battery for an inverter is more suited and has a longer service life.
2. It requires less water top-ups.
3. Compared to flat plate batteries, tubular batteries are more durable and usually have longer warranties.
